I Love My Job!

  • Mood: Very Happy!
  • Music: HIM (gothic romance)

Well, I started my new job on Tuesday. I wasn't sure how well it would go, considering it's in an art gallery that serves "fantastic" teas...lol. (Sorry, Elisa, I just HAD to say that!) But, surprisingly enough everyone there is simply WONDERFUL! I have gotten so many compliments on my 3-tier plates that my head is about to fall over on my shoulder 'cause it's getting so big, lol. I love it there because I get to be completely creative and boy, do I have an imagination..lol. Starting this new job meant that I would have to find a babysitter...which I interviewed about 6 and the first one that I called ended up being the BEST one. My son loves her and the parents that I called who also use her had nothing but positive feedback on her. (awesome!)

I'm a little sad, though, because the owner's father, who has been my "Sensai" since I started will be leaving on the first of next month. I have grown attached to the man and his humor. He's a wonderful person and I find myself thinking through out the day, "why aren't there more people like this in the world?" He lives in Portugal and he will be terribly missed by "grasshopper" (me..lmao).On the other hand this means that I will have more hours to work. (YAY!)

I also had the pleasure of meeting the artist whose work adorns the walls at the gallery. Her name is Soo and she's a lovely woman, always with a smile on her face and not "beneath" folding a napkin or two when she has free time. She's such a down to earth-type person. Today she brought in Sushi for everyone to try and made sure that she saved a piece for me. (I don't eat fish, but I ate it anyway because that was so thoughtful.) I really, really love my job. Well, I have to be at work early tomorrow because we have the ladies from the "Red Hat Association" coming in for a luncheon. This should be interesting. Wish me luck!

Luv, Hugs & Blessed Be!
